Welcome to the El Bekal Date Empire Shrine Club

Date Empire Shrine Club was chartered under the jurisdiction of El Bekal Shrine in 1954 for the purpose of promoting fraternal sociability and fellowship in the Coachella Valley, often referred to as the Indio, Palm Springs area.

Monthly social meetings consist of fine food, entertainment, announcements, and refreshments. Shriners, their ladies and guests are welcome at all social gatherings whether it be a social meeting or one of our several outings per year that are Club sponsors. The Club is most supportive of El Bekal Shrine and Shrine related activities, and is host to the Shrine in February of each year when Shriners gather in the Coachella Valley to participate in the National Date Festival Parade.

Club officers and directors are elected annually and conduct morning business meetings in order that social meetings can be filled with sociability and fellowship.
