South Coast Shrine Club – “The Host of the Coast” – was chartered October 16, 1954 by the Illustrious Potentate of El Bekal Shrine, Robert Ruchti, with a total of 77 charter members and assigned the South Orange county area.
Regular dinner meetings are held at the Dana Point Yacht Club on the third Wednesday of each month. Social hour starts at 6:00pm and dinner at 7:00pm.
Our annual participation in the San Juan Capistrano Swallows Day parade, our “Italian Night”, the Spring Theater Party and our fall trip to the “Fabulous Palm Springs Follies” are the highlights of our social activities and contribute much to the camaraderie and good fellowship we enjoy. We are committed to keeping “FUN” in our Shrine activities. Our charitable projects are the Shriner’s Hospitals for Children and the Los Angeles Unit, sponsoring hospital and burn center patients. Our “Ladies of the Fez” group also conducts social activities and fund Raisers to support the Children’s Hospitals.
