The Ali Baba Sheiks is a Unit of El Bekal Shrine. The purpose of the Unit is to serve at the will and pleasure of the Potentate. Their objective is to provide Culinary Duties, and serve cocktails under the provisoins layed out by El Bekal Shrine Temple. They are a Marching Unit and march in all El Bekal Shrine sanctioned parades and wear the official Ali Baba Parade uniform. The uniforms are owned and paid for by the individual marching members. When serving cocktails for the Potentate, the uniforn of dress consist of a white shirt, maroon vest-bow tie, and dark color trousers, and paid for by the individual members who perforn those duties.

The Ali Baba's meet every month on the second Wednesdays with a few exceptions. Our dinner meeting place is at the Jagerhaus on 2525 E. Ball Rd. just about one quarter mile from El Bekal Shrine Temple. Meetings start at 7:00pm and last about 1 1/2 hours.

To join the Ali Baba Sheiks a Shriner must be in good standing and obtain an application/petition from the Secretary of the Ali Baba Sheiks by calling El Bekal Shrine at (714) 563-9111and together with a check for $15.00 send it in to the Secretary of the Ali Baba Sheiks who presently is: Don Nielsen, Recorder of El Bekal, 1320 S. Sanderson Ave. Anaheim, CA 92806  Annual dues are $25.00 and due on January of the new year.
