Happy New Year!! It is time to begin planning your golf calendar for 2009. The El Bekal Golf Club under the direction of President, Roger Ross, has a full year of scheduled events. The official calendar was distributed at the Willowick outing in December. Copies will be available at the tournament on January 20^th at the El Rancho Verde golf course in Rialto. Meeting time is 9:00 AM. You are encouraged to come and play. We would like to see a good turnout for Roger’s initial meeting. If you have not been to El Rancho Verde take either the I-10 or the 210 freeways to Riverside Dr in Rialto. Go North (left) to Country Club Drive. Turn right 3 blocks to the course. I found that using the 210 was the more expedient way. (The course is only about a mile north of the 210)--either way works—your choice unless you helicopter in.

In December, 16 players played Willowick. But because OUR 2008 PRESIDENT, KEN DAUT, was unable to attend, no closest to the pin or greenies were paid. Ken had the signs. Ken, remember to bring the signs this month.

Since this is the start of a new year, dues are now due. Please send in your annual membership dues of $15.00 and your tournament fees of $32.00 to the Vice President, Don Sorsabal, 951 St. Andrews Dr. Upland, CA 91784 using the reservation form located at the bottom of this newsletter. If you are not playing on January 20^th complete the roster information and dues notice form and send it with your annual membership dues of $15.00 to Don Sorsabal
