Twenty-one players ventured forth to the Dad Miller Golf Course for our November golf outing including five ladies Betty Zabrowski was able to complete nine holes and for this we are glad. Keep up the good work Betty.

This tournament was a partner’s better netball. In the ladies division the team of Carol Albright and Sondra Closson shot a net 63 for 1st place and the team of Lynn Ross and Barbara Joyce were 2nd with a net score of 79.

In the men’s division in 1st place with a sizzling net 54 was the team of Russ Albright and Dick Joyce. The team of Glen Christenson and Don Homyak from that little shrine club up North was 2nd with a net score of 56. In 3rd place in the men’s division with a net score of 59 was the team of Bill Meeks and Bill Miller.

For the par 3 holes, the closest to the pin prizes were paid to: Past Potentate Don Sorsabal on hole #7, and to Past Potentate Dave Suehs on holes # 9 & 11. No one got a ball on hole # 16.

The Club’s next outing will be on December 15 at the Willowick Golf Course, 3017 W. Fifth St., Santa Ana; Telephone # 714-554-0672. This event will be an individual net event using the November handicaps. The December 15 Tournament cost for golf will be $42.00 each. Business meeting will begin at 9:00 AM. Social hour and awards will immediately follow the golf tournament.

I must receive reservations & checks no later than December 1. Those reservations & checks received after that date will be placed upon a waiting list pending available space. The Club has tee times for 20 players.

This year the club’s treasury is not sufficient to support a reduced fee for the December tournament, as has been the past practice. Therefore, the full fee of $42.00 per player is required.

Included with newsletter is information regarding our annual Frank Pherrin Memorial Golf Outing. I must apologize for requiring your reservation and check for that event at the same time as for our December tournament but I must commit to the reservation schedule for the Indian Palms Vacation Club. Be assured even though you will be submitting your check and reservation by November 30, the check will not be processed until after March 1.

Complete the following form for the December event and send to Don Sorsabal with your check at 951 St. Andrews Dr. Upland CA 91784. I must receive the reservations & checks no later than December 1.
